According to a report by the Punch News on Sunday, May 31, 2026, James Ogbu, a Radio Nigeria journalist in Kaduna State who was attacked by bandits close to his house, has recounted that he saw a bike coming to him at full speed, and then the bandits stopped. He said one of the bandits came down from the bike and hit him on his head with a knife.
Recounting the incident, James Ogbu said that he left his working place for the place he normally takes his dog food. He said that he wanted to take a motorcycle, but he noticed that the rider appeared too friendly, so he rejected it and moved to another bike.
Going further, he said he entered a bike and told the bike man to drop him not too far from his house. He said that was between 9pm and 9:30pm. He said he started walking to his house when he suddenly saw a bike approaching him.
James Ogbu said, “I then began to trek to my place, about a four-minute walk, when I suddenly saw a bike approaching me at full speed. The next thing, they stopped, and one immediately came down and hit me on the head with a knife.”….Read_More…
