According to a report by Al Jazeera, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group, has announced a successful attack targeting Israeli soldiers in Khan Younis. The group used heavy mortar fire to strike an Israeli military crane and surrounding areas in eastern Khan Younis.

According to a statement released by the Al-Quds Brigades on Telegram, the attack resulted in casualties among the Israeli forces. The statement noted that “a helicopter landed in the area to evacuate the dead and wounded soldiers after the crane and its surroundings burned,” although exact figures were not provided.

In addition to the crane attack, the Al-Quds Brigades also revealed that they bombarded Israeli soldiers and vehicles that attempted to penetrate the Bani Suheila cemetery in eastern Khan Younis.
