Adeniyi Adeyemi, the Director-General of the alleged fake federal agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has questioned the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Tanimola, claiming that the incident has not received adequate attention from investigators amid the ongoing controversy involving the organisation.
Speaking during an interview from 3:26 on Channels Television on Monday, 13 July, 2026, Adeyemi alleged that authorities have failed to thoroughly investigate Tanimola’s death. He also claimed that the hotel where the incident reportedly occurred has since been demolished, raising further questions in his view about the handling of the case.
Expressing his concerns, Adeyemi said, “Nobody is talking about the mysterious death of Mr Tanimola. As I’m talking to you tonight, the hotel the authority claimed the man got inferno and died has been demolished.”
The Police had previously stated that Tanimola died in a fire incident at Kachi Hotel in Abuja on October 22, five days before Adeyemi’s arrest. According to the police, Tanimola was the only witness in the case before his death.
Adeyemi argued that the circumstances surrounding the incident warrant further scrutiny, maintaining that the matter has not been adequately addressed.
