Apostle Johnson Suleman, founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries International, has strongly defended Pastor Enoch Adeboye against critics who accused the revered cleric of participating in political protests, describing such claims as misguided and unfair.

Speaking during a recent sermon shared on YouTube from 19:10, Suleman addressed discussions surrounding Adeboye’s participation in a prayer walk organized by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. According to him, some commentators had wrongly portrayed the event as a political protest.

The cleric insisted that the gathering was a prayer initiative and not a demonstration against any government. He explained that the prayer walk was carried out following a directive from the PFN and that Adeboye merely joined other Christian leaders in complying with the instruction.

Using the issue to teach on accountability, Suleman emphasized that even highly respected church leaders remain subject to recognized Christian bodies. He noted that Adeboye’s participation reflected his commitment to accountability and order within the church community.

Responding to those who suggested that the RCCG leader had taken part in a protest, Suleman said, “You say a man 84 years, you come and protest, something is wrong with your head.”

He argued that critics had failed to understand the purpose of the event and were unfairly attributing political motives to what was essentially a spiritual exercise. According to him, the prayer walk was intended to seek divine intervention and promote peace rather than advance any political agenda.

Suleman further stressed that age, experience, and global influence have not removed Adeboye from the structures of accountability established within the Christian community. He praised the senior pastor for remaining under the authority of the PFN despite his stature.
