Former Governor Adams Oshiomhole has shared why he had a fallout with Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State during his (Obaseki’s) first term in office
In a video recently shared by TVC from 15:38, Oshiomhole said Obaseki governed Edo State without involving the state’s House of Assembly, which he described as a serious misuse of power. He said he took actions against Obaseki and it left Obaseki in a vulnerable position. He said Obaseki eventually defected from APC to PDP and took control of the PDP. He also said Obaseki displaced the original members who had been part of the PDP since its inception in 1999.
In Oshiomhole’s words: “Obaseki was governing like an emperor without State House of Assembly, for me that was the height of executive recklessness so I dealt with him. When I dealt with him, he became homeless and suddenly became a beggar, using whatever tricks he had in his tool box. He has taken over the PDP and drove out the original owners who formed PDP since 1999”….Vïêw–Môrê
