Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike has taken to his official X handle to voice his displeasure over the actions of PDP Chieftain and governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that while the governor was looking for a new party, he was bent on obtaining a court order to stop a convention.

The governor of Oyo State and PDP Chieftain, Seyi Makinde was recently on the spotlight after footages of his visit to former governor of Kano State and NNPP Chieftain, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso went viral across various social media platforms.

The meeting, which many believed was for a political realignment, caught massive public attention. The former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was and other political heavyweights were also present.

However, Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, slammed the antics of the Oyo State governor.

According to his statements, he pointed out that while the governor was looking for a new party to join, he was bent on destabilizing the People’s Democratic Party through his decision to seek court orders to stop the party’s scheduled March 2026 convention.
