Former Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe has spoken about the issue of open grazing.

In a video shared by Channels TV, Senator Abaribe criticized the comparison made between Igbo spare parts dealers and cattle herders who practice open grazing. He stated that Igbo spare parts dealers conduct their business by buying goods, renting a shop, and selling their products without causing harm to others.

Abaribe said some herders let their cattle roam freely, which often leads to the destruction of farmlands. He said some herders also harm farmers and their families.

In Abaribe’s words: “The Igbo spare parts dealer does not carry an AK-47 to kill someone. Then somebody else is going around with his cattle, destroys your farm, kills you and your children and wife and family and then you tell me he is free to do that. How can those two thing be even compared?”….Seë_Morë
