In a recent interview from 7:43 shared by Arise News, Convener of the League of Northern Democrats, Umar Ado, has raised concerns over recent political movements into the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Commenting on the wave of defections, including that of Peter Obi, Ado questioned the level of scrutiny carried out before joining the party. He suggested that many of the new entrants may not have fully assessed the legal and structural issues surrounding the ADC.

“If Peter Obi and all those who have moved into the ADC had done due diligence on the ADC, they wouldn’t have moved there,” Ado stated during the interview.

According to him, the ADC is currently entangled in legal uncertainties that could impact its stability and future participation in elections. He explained that unresolved court matters and internal disputes may pose serious risks to politicians aligning themselves with the platform at this time.
