Presidential spokesman on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has criticized former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over comments suggesting he would rather walk away from difficult situations than remain and confront them.

Obi had stated in a video shared on social media that he does not stay in environments he considers problematic, even if it means being perceived negatively.

“I’ve never stayed where there’s problem. I would rather be the loser and be called a coward than to stay where there’s problem,” Obi said.

Reacting via his X handle on Saturday, Bwala interpreted the statement as a sign of unwillingness to take responsibility, questioning Obi’s leadership credentials.

“You heard him; he always shies away from responsibility. How can such a person aspire to govern Nigeria?” Bwala wrote.

He further described Obi’s approach as a “nomadic mentality,” intensifying the criticism.
