In a recent video from 1:34 shared by Signature TV, former PDP member and Obidient, Dickson Iroegbu, has revealed details of his early concerns about the political alignment within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking during the interview, Iroegbu explained that he had taken the initiative to privately communicate with Peter Obi before his move to the party. According to him, his concern was centered on the internal power structure of the ADC and the influence of key stakeholders.
“I reached out to Peter Obi and told him at the beginning, before he joined the ADC, that I hoped there was a deal with Atiku Abubakar,” he said.
Iroegbu noted that such an agreement would have been crucial in ensuring unity and preventing internal conflict, especially given the political weight of Atiku Abubakar within the party. He suggested that without a clear understanding between both figures, the party risked division ahead of the 2027 elections.
