Senator Osita Izunaso has claimed that more people lined the roads to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Kaduna than those inside the stadium during the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag-off rally ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Izunaso, Director of the Directorate of Organisation of the PBAT APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, made the statement during an interview from 3:55 on TVC Breakfast on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
He said the stadium was already filled to capacity by 7 a.m., adding that about 95 per cent of those who attended were from Kaduna State. According to him, representatives from other states were present because the party plans to campaign across the federation.
The senator described the turnout as evidence of support for Tinubu and the APC, maintaining that the crowd consisted mainly of party members and supporters rather than schoolchildren.
Izunaso called the Kaduna rally a strong start to the party’s campaign activities and expressed confidence that the APC would record its highest number of votes in the North-West. He cited the support of the seven APC governors in the zone.
Recalling the reception Tinubu received, Izunaso said, “From the moment Mr President arrived in Kaduna, we had more people on the roads welcoming him than we had inside the stadium. The crowds along the roads were impressive”.
