During an interview from 12:40 on Trust TV, Ralph Nwosu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), spoke on the role of experienced politicians in addressing Nigeria’s current challenges.
Nwosu questioned the legacy of key political figures, including Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, arguing that those who have participated in governance cannot afford to step away at a critical moment.
He maintained that the country’s situation requires collective responsibility and renewed commitment from leaders who have held positions of influence. According to him, their past experiences in public office place them in a position to contribute meaningfully to efforts aimed at improving governance.
Nwosu emphasized that rather than withdrawing, political actors should come together, reflect on past shortcomings, and work towards better outcomes for the country.
According to him, “What will Peter Obi or Kwankwaso tell their children or great-grandchildren that they participated in this system and they saw it looking so ugly and they decided to quit? This is not the time to quit. This is the time to come together. Whatever has happened before, it’s time to—with deep reflection—say no, we can do better.
