According to a report by Fox News from 1:11, on Tuesday April 21, 2026, In a recent analysis, retired General Jack Keane provided a stark assessment of the current political and economic climate within Iran, suggesting the regime is facing a severe internal struggle for power following the death of its Supreme Leader.

According to Gen. Keane, the transition of power to the leader’s son has been deeply compromised by the successor’s reported injuries and an inability to assert effective control.

“What is happening here, we shouldn’t be surprised. We had the Supreme Leader killed. His son has taken over but clearly he has serious injuries and he has not been able to demonstrate that he is really in charge except for some message trafficking that is going out there. There is a leadership vacuum for sure,” Gen. Keane stated.
