In a recent video from 03:20 on Face The Nation, Iranian diplomat Abbas Araghchi has warned that countries allowing their territory to be used by American forces to launch attacks against Iran could be drawn further into the ongoing conflict.
Speaking on the escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, Araghchi argued that states hosting U.S. military operations share responsibility for actions carried out from their soil. His remarks come amid rising regional tensions involving the United States and its allies.
“Well, obviously these are the countries who have given their soil to American forces to attack us,” Araghchi said while addressing the issue of foreign bases being used in the conflict.
The Iranian official questioned what Tehran should do in response to such situations, suggesting that Iran cannot ignore attacks launched from neighboring territories.
“So what can we do? We just sit and watch that American forces are attacking us from their soil,” he said, indicating that Iran views the use of foreign bases as part of the broader military confrontation.
Araghchi’s comments reflect Tehran’s growing frustration over what it describes as coordinated military pressure from the United States and allied countries. Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that their actions are defensive and aimed at protecting the country’s sovereignty and citizens.
The diplomat’s warning also highlights concerns that the conflict could expand beyond direct hostilities between Iran and the United States, potentially involving other countries in the region where American forces are stationed. Read_More…
