Dennis Amachree, a former Assistant Director of the DSS, has stated that during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, the former president openly stated that there were Boko Haram sympathizers in his government.

In an interview from 21:47 with TVC, Amachree said some Boko Haram sympathizers and financiers are not ordinary people but individuals with political power and connections. He said their support for the Boko Haram terrorist group may be driven by religious beliefs or economic interests.

In Amachree’s words: “Remember Jonathan said that Boko Haram sympathizers were in his government and they are still there. You know they are all over the place because they are powerful people, they are people that have been able to rise up into politics. And you know this thing is either religious reasons or economic reasons, they are involved in it.” Read_More…
