According to a report by The Times of Israel, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that the Strait of Hormuz is under its full control, issuing a chilling warning to the United States after President Donald Trump ordered a naval blockade of the world’s most critical oil checkpoint.

The escalation comes just hours after high-level peace talks in Islamabad collapsed, ending a two-week ceasefire and pushing the longtime rivals back to the brink of direct military confrontation.

The IRGC’s naval command asserted its dominance over the waterway, which handles approximately 20% of global oil and gas transit.

The post included a video purportedly showing foreign vessels in the crosshairs of Iranian surveillance drones.

The IRGC issued a direct threat to any military assets attempting to challenge their authority in the strait:

“All traffic is under the full control of the armed forces. The enemy will become trapped in a deadly vortex in the strait if it makes the wrong move.”

While the IRGC claimed the passage remains open for harmless civilian vessels under smart management, they clarified that any foreign military presence would be treated as an act of war.
