In a recent interview from 25:30, Zainab Buba Galadima, who happens to be the daughter of a famous Nigerian politician, Buba Galadima, has revealed the reason why she left the ruling All Progressives Congress to defect to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

“I don’t miss the APC one bit. I miss some people in it because I joined a family of people who think the way I do. There are still good people; there are good people everywhere, and there are bad people everywhere. But you cannot have a platform and then act otherwise when you claim to be progressive.

“I don’t miss it at all, I don’t regret it, and I’m unapologetic about it. There is nothing they would do to bring me back.

When she was asked if they were planning to bring her back, she said, “People are calling me, asking why I left. I was like, ‘Oh, I thought I was invisible. I thought I didn’t matter.’ But yes, people are calling me—people from my ward, my local government, the state, and even the federal level.

“What gave me more insight was that last week, I went to Malam El-Rufai’s house, and I met serving senators from the APC. I asked them, ‘So, how is the APC?’ They said, ‘We’re tired.’ I said, ‘Even you? So you people see what is happening?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ So I can guarantee you that most people in the APC are not happy with the party. They are just there because of one convenience or another, and I have no business being there.” Read_More…
