Seyed Mohammed Marandi, a professor of English Literature at the University of Tehran, has claimed that Iran is steadily degrading the multiple layers of air defense systems established by the United States across the Persian Gulf and Jordan, arguing that the network was designed to shield Israel from Iranian missile and drone attacks.
Writing on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Marandi said Iran is “destroying the many layers of defense that the US created in the Persian Gulf and Jordan to protect the Zionist regime from Iranian missiles and drones.” He further claimed that Tehran would not initiate another round of attacks, but instead would wait for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make the first move.
