Nigerian legal practitioner Liborous Oshoma has praised the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) for conducting a credible presidential election that produced Oyinkansola Badejo-Okunsanya SAN as the new NBA President, noting that lawyers voted from across the world.

Speaking from 6:22 on Channels TV, Oshoma said, “Some people voted from Canada, London, and the US. Once you are a lawyer, you can vote. You don’t have to be physically present somewhere, just like we used to have it before, where ballot boxes could be snatched. And so I would say, despite the challenges, kudos to the ECNBA. The process was not without its challenges, but at least it was far better than it was before. And I reiterate, I think INEC should begin to look at how to copy such processes and improve on them,” he said.

Oshoma noted that people had questioned why calls to delay elections tend to grow louder whenever a female candidate is on the verge of victory. He commended the ECNBA for refusing to bow to pressure to postpone the election….See More
