In a video from 0:50 shared by News Central TV, entrepreneur Chigozie Nnabugwu spoke about how his community played a significant role during the Nigerian Civil War because of its unique landscape.
Nnabugwu said his community has an area known as Mother Valley, describing it as a vast place with unusual topography that provided protection for many people during the conflict.
He said the valley became a safe refuge for many Igbo people who fled the violence because its deep terrain and thick vegetation made it difficult for military aircraft to detect those hiding there.
In Nnabugwu’s words: “It boiled down to my community because we have a very unique topographical landscape in my place called Mother Valley. It’s a vast land, and if you hear the history of the Biafran War, that place saved a lot of Igbos because people had to run there.
