After retiring from professional football, some players takes coaching job while some others turn football pundits.

However, there are also footballers who turned pastor and serve in the church after their active years in football. In this article, I will be revealing to you some footballers who are now pastors;

1. Taribo West

Former Nigerian international, Taribo West, made waves in the game of soccer during his active years, the talented footballer was known for his weird hairstyle.

Taribo whose career spanned 17 years, played for the likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan and Auxerre before retiring from football.

It may interest you to know that the famous ex-footballer is now a full-time pastor and he has his own ministry.

2. Phil Mulryne

Phil Mulryne isretired professional footballer who played for Manchester United and the Irish football team. He was famous for been part of United squad that had so much success in the 90s. He played for clubs like Norwich, Cardiff, and Leyton Orient before retiring in 2008.

The news of him turning a priest triggered lots of reactions, as he decided to enter the priesthood a year after retiring from football. According to reports, he was ordained as a priest in 2017.

3. Gavin Peacock

Gavin Peacock is a famous ex-footballer who played as a midfielder and striker for famous football clubs like QPR, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Chelsea. He retired from football in 2001 following a short loan stint with Charlton.

After his retirement, he worked in the media as a pundit, notably for BBC Sport, before relocating to Canada to study theology with a view to becoming a Christian minister….S££ MOR£
