Popular social media critic Daniel Regha has weighed in on the recent wave of ridicule directed at Afrobeats star Davido, comparing his public conduct to that of his colleague, Wizkid.
In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, Regha argued that while Wizkid has his own flaws, he maintains boundaries that prevent people from disrespecting him. He noted that Davido’s overwhelming eagerness to seek clout and public attention is the root cause of the undeserved mockery he currently faces online.
The post has since generated massive reactions across the platform, amassing over 2,700 likes and more than 360 comments, as fans of both superstars continue to debate the critic’s observations.
The post read: “Wizkid has his issues, but you will never see him getting this level of disrespect because he knows where to draw the line and set boundaries. Davido’s eagerness to have clout is what draws the undeserved ridiculeness.”
