Senator Shehu Sani, a human rights activist and former member from the Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, has paid tribute to General Jerry Useini, a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Senator Shehu Sani, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party and the principal opposition party in Nigeria, recently posted on his official X account that the late General Jerry Useini reminded lawmakers that he had only spent N5 billion on the construction of the National Assembly complex, in response to a budget request for approximately N30 billion for renovations.

The NASS Complex was allegedly constructed by the late General Useini, according to an earlier post by Shehu Sani.

Shehu Sani had put in writing, “When about N30 billion was budgeted for the renovation of the National Assembly, the Late Senator (General) Jerry Useini reminded the lawmakers that he built the whole Complex with less than N5 billion when he was the FCT minister.”
