A Former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government, Samuel Nwanosike has alleged that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike came to his rescue when he was locked up as a party chieftain in Rivers State. He recounted how Wike ensured that their convention went ahead, despite attempts by then-Governor Rotimi Amaechi to thwart their efforts.

He argued that this showcased Wike’s leadership and the party’s resilience under his guidance. He praised Wike as one of the brightest stars of the party who has stood firm since 2015. He highlighted how Wike’s instrumental role in rebuilding the party after Goodluck Jonathan’s loss in 2015, when many leaders abandoned the Party. He emphasized that Wike has consistently demonstrated his capacity to work for Nigeria’s betterment, both within the party and beyond.

He said in an interview with TVC From 4:56, ”Nyesom Wike is one of the brightest stars of the party, he is a man that has stood for the party since 2015. Don’t forget that as soon as Goodluck Jonathan lost the 2015 election, a lot of our leaders abandoned the party. Nyesom Wike rallied round with other leaders and made sure they rebuilt the party.

When I was locked up as a party chieftain in Rivers State, it was Wike that came to my rescue. The then Governor Rotimi Amaechi didn’t let us access the venue for our convention. The Police came there and said we cannot hold our convention there and we held our convention in our state office to show that PDP is not a part that can pushed around under the leadership of Nyesom Wike. And so for us, Wike is one of our best and he is doing well for the party. And he has shown us that him as an individual has the capacity to work for Nigeria.”…..S££ Next
