Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), has criticised the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying many Nigerians who expected positive change after the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari are now disappointed with the current state of the country.

Baba-Ahmed made the remarks during an interview from 26:23 on SYMFONI TV while discussing the performance of the Tinubu administration and the challenges facing Nigerians. According to him, many citizens had hoped the new government would reverse the economic and security difficulties inherited from the previous administration.

The former presidential aide argued that instead of improving conditions, the current administration has worsened the hardship experienced by ordinary Nigerians. He pointed to rising inflation, insecurity and the increasing cost of living as major concerns affecting millions across the country.

“People thought maybe this guy would change the trajectory that President Buhari left in the country, but he just made it worse,” Baba-Ahmed stated during the interview.

The PRP chairman said Nigerians are struggling to cope with the effects of recent economic reforms, particularly following the removal of fuel subsidy and fluctuations in the foreign exchange market.
