Former U.S. Special Envoy, Dennis Ross, has warned that Iran’s current negotiating posture is anchored on a belief that it holds the advantage of time, urging the United States to decisively counter that perception.
Speaking in an interview from 3:45 on Fox News on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Ross said Tehran appears confident it can endure prolonged pressure and ultimately secure more favourable terms in any future agreement.
“We need to understand that at this point, they are the ones who believe time is on their side. We have to prove to them that it is not,” he said.
