The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has stated that at the pace that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going, they may soon find themselves with the Incarceration of everyone.

Atiku Abubakar made the comment after the Nigerian Police Force arrested human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore for calling Kayode Egbetokun an “illegal” IGP.

The former Vice President described the arrest of Omoyele Sowore as baseless. He accused the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of planning to initiate a single political party in the country. He said the government is fond of harassing and intimidating Nigerians with differing opinions.

Atiku Abubakar stated that with the way things are going, the administration of President Tinubu will have all Nigerians to contend with.

According to Atiku Abubakar;

“When I made the clarion call that Tinubu and the APC were devoting their energies to the systematic harassment, intimidation, and dismantling of the opposition, all in service of their grand design for a one-party autocracy, I became the target of vicious attacks. The arrest and baseless prosecution of Omoyele Sowore is the latest chapter in this unrelenting campaign. Now, they have seen fit to add Professor Usman Yusuf, an outspoken critic of this administration, into their grim roster. At the pace they are going, it seems they may soon find themselves contending with the incarceration of every one of us”.
