The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, has urged the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, to come out openly and lead the protesters, the same way President Tinubu and Ex President Buhari led protesters in the past.
According to Daily Post, Bayo Onanuga made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, shortly after Peter Obi reportedly endorsed the nationwide protest, scheduled to commence on the 1st of August.
Furthermore, the Presidential spokesperson challenged Peter Obi to be at the forefront of the protest, in order to control the protesters and stop them from destroying properties.
He wrote: “He (Obi) should do what President Tinubu and former President Buhari did in the past, by coming out openly to lead the protesters.”
Mr Onanuga went on and noted that leadership is all about coming out to do the right thing and “not playing the master puppeteer behind the scene.”
It should be recalled that a popular Nigerian human rights activist, Mr Omoyele Sowore and some Nigerian youths had called for the nationwide protest on August 1 against Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The protest is against the hunger and suffering Nigerians are currently experiencing under President Bola Tinubu’s led administration….Seë _ Morë
