Ogochukwumelum Beverly Okoye, the sister of Dr. Chukwudi Michael Okoye, a UNIZIK lecturer involved in an altercation with a female student, Precious Mbakwe, has spoken out about the situation.
During an interview with On-Air Personality Ifedayo Olarinde from 3:30, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, Okoye’s sister expressed her frustration over the reactions from the public. She mentioned that it was painful to see people defending the student and making assumptions about her brother’s intentions. She disclosed that many people speculated that her brother had tried to initiate a romantic relationship with the student, which she found offensive.
Okoye’s sister explained that Okoye’s wife is a magistrate, and their first daughter is actually a student of the same university, although in a different department.
In her words: “It is very painful to come online and see all the comments from people trying to defend the girl. Most people said who knows if he had even chyked her or has something to do with her. I mean his wife is a magistrate for God’s sake. His first daughter is actually a student of that same university although she is in science department”
