Former House of Representatives aspirant for Sabon Gari Local Government Area, has revealed that encouragement from members of his community played a major role in his decision to venture into politics and seek elective office.
Buba made the disclosure during an interview from 3:04 on while addressing questions surrounding his political ambition, as well as public opinions about his age, height and educational background.
According to him, many people initially doubted his chances because of his physical stature, but residents of his community continued to show confidence in his ability to represent them effectively. He said their trust and encouragement convinced him to officially declare his intention to contest for office.
“My people said ‘we choose you, come and represent us, we like you’. I said okay. Then I went there, I declared and I have accepted that I will do,” he stated during the interview.
Buba explained that leadership should not be determined by outward appearance or personal attributes, but by commitment to public service and the willingness to improve the lives of constituents.
