Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries International, delivered a sermon on Father’s Day, titled “Mental Development for Successful Family Leadership – Part 2.”
In his sermon video from 2 hours 17 minutes 35 seconds, Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized the need for continuous mental development, even for those who are spiritually sound.
Drawing from Philemon 1:14, Pastor Ibiyeomie highlighted the importance of mental acuity in achieving productivity, prosperity, and progress.
“Many are spiritually sound, they cast out demons but they are very stupid,” he remarked, stressing that spiritual prowess alone is insufficient without intellectual growth and practical wisdom.
Pastor Ibiyeomie pointed out that a shallow mentality can hinder one’s success and lead to a lack of tangible achievements. “Your mentality defines the level of your productivity, prosperity, and your progress in life,” he stated.
“You must not allow your mind or your mentality to be shallow if you don’t want to be a mere shadow. If you allow your mind to be fallow, you end up as a shadow.”
Pastor Ibiyeomie urged his congregation to invest in their mental growth and continually seek knowledge and wisdom to complement their spiritual journeys.
He reiterated that while spiritual activities like casting out demons are significant, they should be accompanied by a well-developed mind capable of making sound decisions and leading effectively. This balanced approach, he suggested, is crucial for successful family leadership and overall life success…..Sée Móre
