Samuel Nwanosike, the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State has alleged that the Rivers state government, led by Governor Fubara, has refused to release funds meant for his local government, Ikwerre, for the past two months. He said Fubara also withheld funds allocated to another local government, Emuoha, for three months.

In a video shared by AIT, Nwanosike said Fubara took these actions because he (Fubara) is not in good terms with him and the chairman of Emuoha.

In Samuel’s words: “The governor (Fubara) believes I don’t attend his functions or he doesn’t like my face. And I said sir, even before you became governor I was already a local government chairman and in democracy, even if we disagree in whatever manner, it should not come to the job. The constitution cannot be breached because I didn’t greet you in the morning”….Sée Móre
