According to a report by Daily Trust, on Monday May 25, 2026, Elder statesman and former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has raised the alarm over a purported political alignment by several high-profile politicians from Southern Nigeria aimed at undermining President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Osoba made these assertions in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, during the official announcement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election results for the state.
