Lauretta Onochie, a Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC and former presidential aide has taken to his official X handle to demand an end to the persecution of former Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai.
According to the statements which were shared on her official X handle on Wednesday May 20th, 2026 she also reminded the public of the words of the former governor few days prior to his arrest at the airport.
Nasiru El-Rufai, according to the former presidential aide, made it known that the national security adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu gave the instructions that he should be apprehended.
However, while she declined to disclose the reasons why the national security adviser gave the said instructions, she pointed out that his actions were politically motivated.
