An APC Chieftain, Cletus Obun has alleged that the PDP would come third in the Edo election based on the facts and indices in Edo state. He alleged that the political dynamics in Edo State are shifting and the APC is gaining momentum.

He argued that the Labour Party and Ighodalo initially dominated the media landscape but the tables have turned and the APC’s popularity is growing. He claimed that if a genuine opinion poll were conducted, the APC would emerge as the clear leader. He cited the defection of key PDP members, including foundational members, and the defection of Comrade Philip Shaibu as evidence of the PDP’s disintegration.

He said in an interview with AIT from 17:06, ”When I was the APC Chairman for media committee for 2020 Edo election, there was no week that I was not in Edo State. And I know a lot about the political situation in Edo State. The error people are making is underrating the silence of the APC in Edo State. Ighodalo and the Labour party thought they were the ones in the media when they started their campaign. But you can see that the tables are turning with the numbers growing on ground.

If you have a genuine opinion poll today, you will see that APC will be far ahead. The indices and the facts speaks for themselves. Half or those we know who make up PDP team in Edo State who are called the foundational members, they have left the party. The second wave of the Tsunami was orchestrated by Philip Shaibu. So you are having a dismembered PDP going into a Gubernatorial election. I will even give Labour Party a chance more than. the PDP. I say this authoritatively that PDP will come third in the Edo Governorship election.”….VïêwMôrê
