The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stated that what the country needs at this point in time is not protests.

He made the statement on his official X handle.

In the post that he shared on his page, he said protest is not the catalyst for the progress that the nation needs. He said protest won’t make all the challenges confronting the nation to vanish in ten days and it wont also lower the prices of food items in the market.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated that there are challenges but significant efforts are underway to alleviate the pain of the people and pave way for lasting prosperity.

Here is what he wrote on his official X handle;

“Is a protest the catalyst for progress we need now? Will it ensure our challenges vanish in ten days? Will it lower food prices or inspire economic growth? I strongly believe it won’t. Instead, it could undo the modest gains we’ve made. Are there challenges? Yes. Is the government addressing them? Absolutely. Significant efforts are underway across many sectors to alleviate our people’s pain and pave the way to lasting prosperity”….Sêe_Morē
