According to a report by Times of Israel, on Tuesday May 12, 2026, Iran has put the world on notice. A senior official connected to the country’s parliamentary security apparatus has declared that Tehran is prepared to enrich uranium to 90 percent weapons-grade level, if the United States or Israel carry out another military strike against the country.

Ebrahim Rezaei, who serves as spokesman for the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, issued the threat in a post on X written in Persian.

“One of Iran’s options in the event of another attack could be 90 percent enrichment,” he stated, adding that the matter would be subject to parliamentary review.
