‎In a recent statement via his official X account, Pope Leo XIV has shared a message highlighting Africa’s importance to the world, describing the continent as a place filled with hope, energy, and strong human spirit.

‎”Africa is a reservoir of joy and hope for the whole world. Its young people and its poor still dream; they hope still; they do not settle for what already exists. They desire to rise up again, to prepare for great responsibilities, to put themselves on the line personally. ‎In his post, the Pope focused on the role of young people in Africa, and noted that many young Africans continue to believe in a better future despite challenges, he said they are not satisfied with current conditions and are determined to improve their lives, according to him, this mindset shows courage and a willingness to take responsibility.

‎The message was shared during his Apostolic Journey linked to Angola, the Pope used the opportunity to encourage Africans to continue striving for progress, he stressed that real change often begins within individuals, he believes that when people commit themselves to growth and responsibility, societies can improve.
