According to a video from 00:41:14 posted on Fox News, on Monday July 6, 2026, President Trump described the scale of recent military action against Iran’s navy while responding to a reporter’s question on the economy and the Middle East.

He said the entire Iranian fleet referenced in his remarks had been destroyed, describing it as part of a broader military campaign that also eliminated the country’s air force and radar systems.

The president connected this claim to earlier comments about oil markets, saying predictions that oil prices would spike to $300 or more per barrel did not come true because of successful military operations that limited Iran’s ability to respond or retaliate.

He said the campaign was carried out over a period of about a month and a half.

In his words, President Trump said, “But uh we’ve u destroyed their as you know completely destroyed 15. They had 159 ships. Every single ship is at the bottom of the sea. We’ve completely destroyed. They don’t have one airplane. They don’t have radar.”

He added that a nighttime blockade had prevented any ships from moving through the region for two months, calling it one of the most effective naval operations the U.S. Navy had ever conducted.
