In a bold statement, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has categorically refused to support either Governor Nyesom Wike or Governor Siminalayi Fubara amidst the evolving political dynamics in the state. This declaration was made during Amaechi’s visit to the home of Hon. Okorinama West, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Friday.

As reported by the Daily Post, Amaechi criticized Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), highlighting his lack of popularity among the people. He attributed Governor Fubara’s significant support base to the public’s disapproval of Wike, rather than Fubara’s own accomplishments.

“The political atmosphere in Rivers State is changing,” Amaechi remarked, noting the shifting allegiances of several lawmakers who once stood by him but are now pursuing their own interests. He urged young supporters to remain active in shaping the state’s governance, emphasizing their crucial role in its future.
