In a recent broadcast on Symfoni TV from 1:12, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara delivered a robust defense of his administrative approach, emphasizing his commitment to serving all constituents regardless of political affiliations.

“I am not the governor of PDP, although my chairman is from the PDP,” Fubara asserted. “I am the governor of Rivers State, so I owe everyone the responsibility of caring, providing, and protecting.”

The governor directly challenged critics regarding his administration’s financial transparency, presenting a clear stance on fiscal responsibility. “I’m happy to say here—and I stand to be challenged—I have never taken advantage of this administration. Not borrowed!” he declared.

Fubara specifically highlighted the Ring Road project as the sole instance of financial borrowing, inviting public scrutiny. “The only borrowing was the one we used for the Ring Road, and everybody is aware of it,” he stated. “Go and bring any paper; go to the management office and check if we had asked for anything. We don’t need to!”

His provocative statement underscores a commitment to open governance and challenges anyone to produce evidence contradicting his claims of financial prudence.

The governor’s remarks represent a significant statement of administrative philosophy, positioning himself as a leader committed to serving all Rivers State residents, irrespective of their political leanings.
