Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a former Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Edo state government, has given his take on the gubernatorial election that was recently conducted in Edo state.

Accusations and counteraccusations have emerged following the conclusion of the Edo gubernatorial election in which Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressive Congress APC was declared winner amongst other contestants, including Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party LP and Asue Ighodalo of the People’s Democratic Party PDP.

However, in a video posted by Channels Television from 0:44, the Nigerian politician, Ize-Iyamu, questioned rhetorically how the outgoing governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, expected his preferred candidate to win in the governorship polls when he had disrespected the palace of the Oba of Benin.
