Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, has given his take on the plans to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

In recent times, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party LP in the 2023 election; Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna state; and Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria, have adopted the African Democratic Congress ADC as a platform to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential polls.

In a swift turn of events, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has shown interest in Goodluck Jonathan, a former president of Nigeria, and speculations have emerged that he will be the presidential candidate for the PDP in the 2027 presidential election.

However, during an interview with Channels Television, the former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, stated that each time there is an election, the name of the former president comes up, but he shouldn’t contest in the 2027 election.
