In a recent interview from 32:21 on Channels Television, Professor Udenta Udenta, former National Secretary of the defunct Alliance for Democracy, spoke on possible opposition strategies ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.

During the interview, Udenta stated, “Any pairing of Peter Obi in the South with anyone in the North will defeat Tinubu in the 2027 election.” He used the remark to emphasize what he believes is a viable electoral formula for opposition parties seeking to challenge the incumbent.

He referenced former presidential candidate Peter Obi and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that regional balance in ticket selection could play a decisive role in shaping voter alignment.
