The Spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, has reacted after a Nigerian man accused a Nigerian Police officer of stealing his phone, during stop and search operation.

While speaking, SP Edafe made it known that the men of the Nigerian Police are doing their job, thereby stating it clearly that he doesn’t know why someone who was searched and asked to go will choose to come back intentionally to implicate the police. He went on and noted that the person in question knew that the Samsung phone was with his friend, noting that he told his friend to deny knowledge, so that he can accuse the police of taking the phone.

He wrote: “We are just doing our job, I dont know why someone who was searched and asked to go will choose to come back intentionally to implicate the Police. He knew the samsung Phone (fold 4) was with his friend, he told his friend to deny knowledge so he can accuse the policemen of taking it.”
