A video that was posted on the official X account of ARISE NEWS on Monday, June 1, 2026 has captured the moment the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike was explaining what he told Godswill Akpabio when he asked him for 25% votes for former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
In the video that surfaced online, Nyesom Wike stated that during the 2019 presidential election, Godswill Akpabio visited him at the government house in Port Harcourt and asked him for votes. He said he told Akpabio that he doesn’t know how to write votes. He said he told Akpabio that the only way he could get the votes is by voting.
Nyesom Wike stated that he has never run away from challenges. He said when he was governor of Rivers state, he faced many challenges from the Federal Government but he didn’t defect from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to Nyesom Wike;
“In 2019, Senator Akpabio was Minister of the Niger Delta. He came to Port Harcourt to see me and asked me to allow President Buhari to get 25% votes. I replied, How would he get 25%? If it’s by writing results, then I would write it. The only way he could get 25% is by voting”….Read_More…
