Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has raised serious questions regarding the political ambition of Kingsley Chinda, the APC gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Monday June 1st, 2026 he also pointed out that his dual position within the political landscape projected the president Tinubu’s administration in bad light.
Kingsley Chinda, who currently holds the position of the minority leader in the house of assembly under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), it can be recalled, was installed as the APC gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State.
His installation which came few days after governor Siminalayi Fubara announced his decision to step aside however, triggered massive public attention as many argued that the decision was externally influenced.
