Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and former Governor of Kano State, has expressed confidence that Peter Obi will win the 2027 presidential election, according to report by LEADERSHIP on Sunday May 31, 2026.
Speaking on Friday during the affirmation of consensus candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano, Kwankwaso said he believes Obi will emerge victorious and become Nigeria’s next president.
Kwankwaso also described the affirmation of the party’s consensus candidates as a significant achievement. He said the peaceful process reflected the unity and commitment of party members in Kano State.
He added that the emergence of the candidates demonstrated the willingness of party members to work together and strengthen the party ahead of future elections.
According to him,
“I’m talking about Peter Obi, he will be flying our flag, and by the grace of God, on May 29, exactly one year from now, he will have been sworn in as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”….Read_More…
