Chidi Lloyd, a former Chairman of Emohua Local Government, has made startling allegations against the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Sim Fubara. In an interview with Channels TV From 6:47, Lloyd claimed that Governor Fubara has received a staggering 238 billion naira from the federation account between May and June. He criticized the governor for focusing on hosting thanksgiving services across various local governments rather than addressing pressing issues in the state.

Lloyd accused Governor Fubara of canceling 10,000 jobs that had been created by the previous administration, exacerbating the unemployment crisis in the state. He stated, “The governor upon his inception into office cancelled 10,000 employment that have been done by the previous administration. All that remained was for him to issue appointment letter but he cancelled it. So that is why you find what is going on the state as regards to unemployment. And ever since then, no substantial employment has been made for the youths in the state.”

The former local government chairman argued that the real enemy of the state is not the President, but rather the mismanagement of funds and resources by the current administration. He revealed that all states recently received a considerable amount of money intended to alleviate the ongoing economic hardship, with no state government receiving less than 10 billion naira. However, he claimed that the local governments in Rivers State have yet to receive their share of these funds from the state level.
