Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said he is working with a mandate from the President to deliver electoral victory.
He made the statement at a meeting in Umuahia, Abia State, as reported by THE SUN on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Kalu explained that the President charged him to focus on securing support and ensuring victory, describing it as the key expectation from his political allies. He also noted that he was advised to avoid political disputes and promote unity among party members.
According to him, the President emphasized the importance of allowing younger politicians greater space in leadership, urging him to avoid unnecessary conflicts with them.
The former Abia State governor further referenced his time in office, stating that he governed effectively and drew on his experience in public service.
